At Outback Steakhouse, this is called Outback Aussie Cheese Fries. It’s a wonderful twist on an absolute classic. Everyone who tries your Outback Aussie Cheese Fries is going to fall in love with it… guaranteed!


1 – 2 lb. bag of Frozen French Fries
1 Cup shredded Colby Jack cheese
6 pieces of Bacon, cooked
24 Fl. Oz. Peanut Oil


Divide the fries into half, save the other half later.
Heat oil to 350 degrees.
If the french fry sinks to the bottom, and barely bubbles, it is not hot enough it needs to sizzle.
Fry the potatoes in small batches, untill golden brown, and float to the top.
Drain on paper towels.
You can keep them warm in the oven while the other fries are cooking.
When all french fries are done cooking, and drained place them on toa platter.
Salt the french fries, sprinkle on cheese and cooked bacon.
Place back in the warm oven until the cheese begins to melt.
